Heading to the UK?Heading to Europe of the UK?
If you are heading to Europe of the UK and are worried about how the AUD is performing against the Bristish Pound and the EUR, don't be! The news is good.

The Australian dollar has seen significantly positive exchange rate movements against the major global and regional currencies through the financial crisis and the following recovery. It is comforting to know it continues to exceed previous year's rates for the same period.

In May 2010, the GBP hit a high of 0.6163 to the Australian dollar. At the same time last year is was 0.4900. So, Summer in the UK this year is definitely going to give you more Aussie dollars to spend.

The EUR hit a high in May this year of .7180 and has since trimmed to .6950.

However if you compare it to the same time last year when it  was as low as .5800, you are still well ahead in 2010.

Whilst the AUD has fallen recently compared to the US Dollar, May still saw its trading at .8370 versus same time last year at .8000, so once again we are still ahead of last years performance.
